Max Kinchen
I am a screenwriter and filmmaker with years of experience in physical film production and development.
Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, I graduated New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2012 with a BFA in Film Production.
After graduating with honors, I moved to Los Angeles, where I spent 2 years working in development and production offices, using what I learned about the development side of the industry to hone my screenwriting craft.
I moved back to New York in 2014 and spent 4 years working in New York City in physical production on independent feature films and television shows including The Black List, Mozart in the Jungle and TV Land’s Younger.
In March of 2020, I was scheduled to begin production on my directorial debut, but was derailed by the global pandemic. I spent the “found time” of quarantine completing the screenplay for GOLEM, which is now in consideration in several top screenwriting competitions and is being read at production companies and agencies in both Los Angeles and New York.
In July of 2021, I successfully completed production on the proof of concept scene for my directorial debut after the COVID delay.
I currently live in Austin, Texas with my fiancée, Molly, and my dog, Doug.
